Letter to our Church Family

Beloved church family,

I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go to the house of the LORD! (Psalm 122:1). We are extremely excited to join together as the church in our sanctuary on Sunday morning, June 14th @ 9:00am (doors open @ 8:50). If you arrive early, please stay in your vehicle until that time.

We are making efforts to meet again prudently & safely. Therefore, I am strongly encouraging our older members & people who have severe underlying medical conditions like heart or lung disease or diabetes to recognize that you are at higher risk for developing more serious complications from COVID-19 illness. Please understand that large gatherings present an increased risk for spreading COVID-19.

While I am asking you to take personal responsibility for your health, we are reminded in Scripture to look not only to our own interests, but also to the interests of others. If you or any member of you household is currently experiencing any symptoms of illness, including fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, body aches please remain at home.

North Lexington Baptist Church will continue to provide multiple means of accessing the sermon remotely to limit exposure risk for members. The following will remain options:

Recorded services will be available on our website (nlbcfaith.org) & on our Facebook page

FM radio audio will be available for those in the church parking lot at 9am Sunday.

This allows you to remain in your vehicle & listen if that is more comfortable for you. Please leave the closest parking spaces open for those remaining in their cars.

We are implementing several precautionary measures including the following:

We will arrange the sanctuary seating to maintain at least 6 feet of social distance between members.

o  Same-house family units will be permitted to sit together

o  A family unit are those who live together in a household

o  Non-same-house families must maintain safe social distance

There will be no Children’s Church, Sunday School classes, or nursery until further notice

We will not be using bulletins, pew Bibles, or hymnals.

Please do not shake hands. You may not be concerned with this, but the person's hand you are trying to shake may. Do not put someone in that awkward position. Also, please respect the personal space of people when you are talking to them

We will provide touch free boxes to deposit our tithes & offerings

o  Online giving is also available

o  Please do not lick your offertory envelopes

We will provide hand sanitizing stations, tissues, & disinfecting wipes to support healthy hygiene behaviors

We are encouraging every member to wear a mask for the protection of others.

The doors will be open in order to limit touching

We are encouraging members to cover coughs & sneezes with a tissue or use the inside of their elbow (Used tissues should be thrown in the trash & hands washed).

It is our joy to love one another with brotherly affection. It is our privilege to outdo one another in showing honor. Let’s gather together to worship the King of Glory!

By His grace & for His glory,
